This week we have been celebrating bonfire night. The children have shared their photographs and pictures from their bonfire night celebrations over the weekend. Thank you so much - we have loved seeing what the children have been doing at home. At school we have been listening to firework inspired music including Handel's Royal Fireworks Overture and dancing to it outside. We have made bread-stick sparklers and craft rockets and fireworks. Unfortunately the rain stopped our real campfire we had planned on Tuesday so instead we had to pretend in Birch class. We built our bonfire and then sang campfire songs with Mrs Vaites accompanying us on her guitar. We explored the dark as part of our story The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark and thought of kind acts and adjectives to describe night time.
